It's true you know. Very few things have the kind of lasting importance that make them worth fretting over.
But one mans trivia is another mans biography. What is important if anything really is at all?
I have a "cure" for this whole dilemma. Turn 50. You see the world and how it affects you in a whole new light. At least I did. (do) Of course, the fuzziness makes statements like Dan's "What is important if anything really is at all" really hard to comprehend ;-)
